Here we have a piece that was obviously commissioned, so far from my own imaginings, and a real challenge. It’s undoubtedly my style and process though, that warped looking down at things that I never mean to but always end up doing, and the drips and squiggles. What was challenging were the cupboard angles and the detail. I mean, how do you paint a shiny rock that everyone can tell it’s a rock?
