“I paint because I must. At night, while alone in my studio, I stare at a painting until I see the next stroke. The rest flows from me until I reach another block, or the paint becomes too wet to work with.

Acrylic is less forgiving than oil, it dries so fast, and doesn’t seem to mix as well, when it comes to color blending, but I have no patience for oil, because I have to work constantly and the canvas needs to be ready for my brush.” – Melchor
